This February, Sarah Good, a Firefighter/Paramedic and Personal Trainer aims to hike The Spink Walk in Glendalough every day, for a month, in aid of Laura Lynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice. This is the most stunning of routes, and at this time of year will most likely bring four seasons in a day! The idea behind this fundraising project is that, not only will we raise much needed funds for this amazing charity but hopefully we will get some people hiking this fabulous route who have never done it before or perhaps haven't done it in a while. Scheduled start times are listed but if you're planning on joining one of the day's please let Sarah know so she can update you with any start times changes, weather updates and meeting arrangements We would recommend that participants wear hiking boots, and lots of layers including waterproofs and bring a small rucksack with some water and a snack. Any of the start times highlighted in red are going to be taking place outside of daylight hours so you will need a head torch to attend those days For more information, please contact Sarah directly on 086-1700190 or through Facebook at the "Walk the Glendalough Way Every Day, for Laura Lynn" facebook page. You can sponsor Sarah online by following the steps detailed in the link below, or you can join her for one of the day's walks and donate €10 or whatever you can, on the day.
The more the merrier! https://give.everydayhero.com/ie/sarah-6 |
