The Wicklow Way Challenge (Saturday 28th May 2016)Join Peter McVerry Trust on our one day Long Walk Home challenge as we take on part of The Wicklow Way. Beginning in Marlay Park we will wander through the delightful surroundings of the park before beginning the walk’s first ascent towards the Dublin Hills. Passing Kilmashogue, Fairy Castle and Tibradden Mountains the trail descends to reach the Glencullen Road. On crossing the Glencullen River our hike then ascends towards Prince Williams Seat followed by a descent to the Enniskerry Road, directly north of Knockree Hill. After the walk we will head to Johnnie Fox’s Pub for a bite to eat and a chance to relax before heading back to Marlay Park (by bus!). Costs Registration Fee: €50 Fundraising Target: €100 Includes: Transport from Knockree to Marlay Park and a guide for the walk followed by soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee.
