The 5th Annual Inishbofin Walking Festival will take place from Friday April 22nd to Sunday April 24th.
This weekend will offer people a wonderful opportunity to explore the islands of Inishbofin and Inishark through a diverse series of walks.
Take in the stunning Atlantic coastlines, majestic sea cliffs, ancient boglands, pristine beaches and gently undulating hills of the islands, while in the company of expert local guides who will offer a perspective on the landscape from their area of knowledge.
Our experienced lead guides are drawn from the fields of history, archaeology, marine biology, botany, and ornithology.
The weekend Festival Pass will cost €30, and this will cover participation on all 5 guided walks (There is a supplement of €15 for the Inishark trip on Sunday, to cover the additional boat transfer).
Alternatively, each individual walk is priced at €10. These walks are all guided by local experts who will keep an entertaining and educational commentary for all those who join them.
Over the course of the weekend, in between all the walking, people will get a chance to sample some of the finest of island food in any of the establishments on Inishbofin. There will also be plenty of live music, and any budding musicians are welcome to bring their instruments and join in an open trad session on Saturday evening!
The Inishbofin Walking Festival is the perfect excuse to escape to an island paradise for an active, wholesome and thoroughly entertaining weekend!
